We offer the latest technology by Optos to provide you with a non-invasive, low-intensity laser scan of the retina. This creates a high resolution photograph of the inside of your eye which will help us document, review, and compare your ocular health over time. We will use this ultra-wide field imaging to screen for eye diseases and improve our ability to view the internal part of your eye at a much higher resolution than conventional methods. This technology helps us see in greater detail conditions such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal detachments, hypertensive and diabetic retinopathy (all of which can lead to loss of vision) at early stages. Dilation with medicated eye drops is not required with this new technology.
